Today.com has released a new video-centric app for Apple’s iPad.
The Today.com app coincides with the release of the iPad 2. The app allows users to watch clips from segments, interact with video transcripts and navigate to the part they are most interested in, flip through related slideshows and read stories from the site.
Users can also share their favorite content with friends and family via email, Facebook and Twitter.
Today.com is also running a promotion giving people the chance to win one of five free iPad 2s by liking their Facebook page.
“We know our audience wants to be in the loop on the latest news and information,” said Jen Brown, director of Today.com.
“We created the Today App to allow them to stay connected with their favorite segments throughout the day and on the go.”
