Idris Elba let the cat out of the bag over the weekend.
The Thor star spilled the beans during an interview with the U.K.’s The Telegraph that he and Tom Hiddleston will appear in next May’s Avengers sequel.
Elba, 42, who has played the Asgard guardian Heimdall in both Thor and Thor: The Dark World, didn’t divulge very much about his role in Age of Ultron, apart from the revelation that he will share a scene with Chris Hemsworth, who plays the classic hero, Thor, and Hiddleston, who portrays Thor’s half-brother Loki.
“I’m in Avengers,” Elba said. “I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, and they’re like, — ‘Aren’t you (meant to be) in Ibiza?’ ”
Elba said arranging his schedule has proved to be challenging. Between his work on the Nelson Mandela biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom and work on Thor: The Dark World, he’s keeping himself — and the airlines — busy.

“I’d just done eight months in South Africa. I came to England and the day I came back I had to do reshoots on Thor 2,” Elba said. “I was like, ‘This is torture, man. I don’t want to do this.’ My agent said: ‘You have to, it’s part of the deal.'”

Needless to say, Elba kept at it and will surely reap the benefits of all of his hard work.
