Howard Stern is mourning the passing of a man who was a regular guest on The Howard Stern Show. George Harvey, better known on the show as “Crackhead Bob,” was found dead inside his Texas home. He was 56.

Via his website, Howard Stern shared Farewell to Crackhead Bob, Dead at 56.

The website shares how George Harvey was a huge fan of The Howard Stern Show, and that showing up constantly at Howard Stern’s public appearances landed him his spot on the show.

“He was a huge champion of our show,” Howard Stern said on Monday.

Fame gave him easy access to drugs, so after a few years Harvey took a break from the show, only to return some years later. When he returned, Harvey–who had cerebral palsy–had much-improved speech. He returned to the show in time to laud Howard Stern on his last day at K-ROCK.

The cause of Crackhead Bob’s death hasn’t yet been announced, nor have funeral plans. It’s uncertain if Howard Stern will travel to Texas, where it is assumed a funeral for George Harvey will be held.
