Hoda Kotb thinks turning fifty is pretty nifty–and she even got to dance and sing with Kenny Loggins. The Today Show personality and one-half of the segment that features her with Kathie Lee Gifford, Kotb has experienced lots of things thus far this week in honor of her impending milestone birthday.

Hoda doesn’t actually turn the big 5-0 until Saturday, but she and Gifford will celebrate all week long, just like they did when Kathie Lee turned sixty.

Something that has long been on Hoda Kotb’s bucket list was being a back up singer, and she was able to cross that off on Tuesday when Kenny Loggins graced Rockefeller Plaza with his voice and his moves. Loggins spoke to Hoda on the phone Monday and gave her the best advice he could offer as a means of calming her nerves. He told her to listen to Kathie Lee Gifford.

Hoda and Kathie Lee wore similar red dresses for their back up singing roles and had a lot of fun both rehearsing and performing alongside Kenny Loggins.
