Heidi Klum, who split from husband Seal in 2012, has been in a relationship with former bodyguard Martin Kirstin for over a year now, but reps for the “Project Runway” host say the couple are no more.

Klum began dating Kirstin during a tumultuous time in her life, but the two have seemed happy in recent months.

“Martin was there for her during a challenging time in her life and it was something she will always be grateful for,” a source told People Magazine.

Seal made public comments about their relationship soon after he split from the supermodel, saying she should have waited until their divorce was final before she started “fornicating with the help”. However, he later clarified that Klum never cheated on him with her bodyguard. Klum told Katie Couric in 2012 that she was in love, and trusted Kirstin not just with her own life, but with the lives of her children.

“I trust him with my children’s life,” Klum said. “He’s a great man . . . and we just got to know each other from a completely different side.”

The “source” who spoke to People says that while they have decided to go their separate ways, the split was amicable.

“They are no longer working together,” the source said. “Life is about timing. He was incredibly supportive and they were there for each other, but they’re moving on now. They still have a great friendship.”
