Harrison Ford has been making Star Wars fans giggle with glee ever since the new teaser trailer for The Force Awakens hit yesterday. Harrison Ford’s character Han Solo appears only at the very end of the teaser, but his line sinks the nail for true fans.

“Chewie, we’re home.’

When the trailer video went viral, fans raved about lots of little tidbits, including the burned-out Darth Vader mask, the opening shot of the crashed Imperial Star Destroyer, the amazing casting of what can only be Leia’s daughter — a great amalgamation of Carrie Fisher and Natalie Portman — and Luke’s original lightsaber.

The inclusion of Luke’s lightsaber was especially poignant to well-read Star Wars fans, since it appears to be the one he lost in his first fight with Vader — the fight in which he lost his hand. That lightsaber was given to him by Obi-Wan Kenobi, and was said to have been his father’s. It’s an heirloom.

Then launched the debate about whether anything in the teaser trailer indicated a return of Darth Vader himself.

But Harrison Ford had the job of driving the whole teaser in. One fan commented on Facebook:

“Good Lord- I honestly teared up watching this!
I almost don’t want to see the actual film. This might be enough…
Nah.”

Now a meme has launched that is a mashup of the teaser trailer and a scene from Interstellar. The juxtaposition of the two makes it appear that Matthew McConaughey is reacting to watching the new teaser trailer, especially Harrison Ford’s appearance at the end.

Well see how many other such mashups — either with McConaughey reacting to other films, or other celeb scenes shown in reaction to the Star Wars trailer — end up coming out of this.

In the meantime, enjoy the mashup here.
