As reported, webmasters have been speculating that there may have been another Panda update based on some significant changes in referrals. We asked Google to confirm one way or the other. A Google spokesperson simply tells us, “There hasn’t been.”
Still, Google also told us there had not been a new Penguin update, just before Matt Cutts announced that there had been one.
In a WebmasterWorld thread Barry Schwartz pointed to, there was some suspicion that there had been a Panda refresh on May 30, but taking Google at its word, that was apparently not the case.
Today is June 1 though, and that means that it’s about time for Google to release its big list of algorithm changes for the month of May. There’s no guarantee that this list will come out today, but I wouldn’t be surprised. Sometimes they wait until a few days into the following month to release the lists. Once, they released it before the month was even over. Either way, I’m sure there will be plenty to dig into.
