Google+ Badges Graduate From Preview And Display Your Friends’ Pictures

The Google+ badge has reportedly come out of preview. Danny Sullivan is sharing an email from Google, which says:

The Google+ badge has graduated out of preview today, be one of the first to put it on your site! For those who’ve already added the code, this means all users will be able to see the badge starting today.

Featuring both an ‘add to circle’ and a ‘+1′ button, the Google+ badge helps you grow your audience on Google+ while also showing more recommendations on Google Search

He notes that they take advantage of a Facebook-style “facepile” features, where users can see their friends that are following your site, which can help get them to take notice, and possibly grow your follower count.

This comes as BrightEdge just put out a report saying that some big brands are not attracting large follower counts. McDonald’s, for example only has 126 at the time of this writing.
