Giuliana Rancic says the decision to leave E! News was hers and hers alone.
Rancic told People magazine that the network has kept her from leaving for several years, but she is now ready to go. She also squashed rumors that she was being forced out.
“It was 100 percent my decision to leave,” said Giuliana. “I brought up the idea to leave three years ago, but E! News kept extending me because they wanted me to stay.”
Although the fashion guru is moving on to greener pastures, she will remain with E! to co-host of Fashion Police and the awards show staple Live From the Red Carpet.

According to a Page Six report on Thursday, Rancic was beginning the process of leaving the show, but the hiring of Maria Menounos was the “last straw” and she felt she needed to go, like now.
An unnamed source told the publication that there is some bad blood between Giuliana Rancic and Menounos.
“They’ve always been rivals. Maria sees Giuliana as competition and it goes back years.”

Rancic says her time with E! News has been an incredible journey.
“I took on a challenge 14 years ago. I was a young reporter, and E! News was my dream job,” said Giuliana. “It’s been an incredible journey. But after 14 years, I have nothing else to accomplish on the show. I want to grow as a person, as a businesswoman, as a host, and in order for me to grow, I need to take on a new venture and new challenges.”
