The date of the squeal to the 90s TV show Boy Meets World has been set.

Girl Meets World will air on the Disney Channel starting June 27th, but according to the L.A. Times, verified viewers of the WATCH Disney Channel streaming site will be able to see the premiere as early as May 21st. For the new generation who need some background, or for the old generation who need a refresher, the Disney Channel will show a marathon of Boy Meets World on June 15th.

A sequel to Boy Meets World has been in the works since 2012. Many of the original cast are returning for the sequel, including Ben Savage as Cory Matthews, Danielle Fishel as Topanga Lawrence-Matthews, Lee Norris as Stuart Minkus, and William Daniels as Mr. Feeny. The series adds Rowan Blanchard and August Maturo, as the children of Cory and Topanga of the original series.

In a press release, the Disney Channel described that the new series will show “wonderfully funny, heartfelt stories that Boy Meets World is renowned for – only this time from a tween girl’s perspective. It focuses on relationships with family and friends and the important, indelible values therein, as the relatable and adventurous Riley and her bold best friend Maya traverse the twists and turns of teenage years at Manhattan’s John Quincy Adams Middle School where Riley’s dad is their History teacher.” It also happened to explain the plot of the series premiere, which contained a homework rebellion.

The press release went on to describe the various cameos lined up for the series’s first season: “Cloris Leachman (“The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Kiss Me Deadly”), Jane Lynch (“Glee”), Jackée Harry (“Sister, Sister” and “227”), Willie Garson (“White Collar” and “Sex and the City”), Charlotte Rae (“The Facts of Life”) and musician Herbie Hancock.”

If you’re going to wait for the show to air on television, you may be the last to see it. The premiere will not only be released on the steaming site first, but it will also get an iTunes release on June 13th, a good two weeks before it shows on TV.

Good luck avoiding spoilers!
