Gigi Hadid got intimate during a question-and-answer on Periscope on Monday when she shared how she met her pop music heartthrob boyfriend, Joe Jonas.

Hadid revealed that she met Jonas in 2010 at the Grammys, when she was 13 years old and Jonas was around 19 or 20. Jonas was at the Grammys alongside his brothers when they still performed as the Jonas Brothers.

“We met at the Grammys when I was 13 years old,” Hadid, who is now 20 years old, said. “And he asked me to a baseball game, and I said, ‘No,'” Hadid recalled. The reason she turned down Jonas’ invite? “I was so nervous; I literally didn’t even know what it meant to hang out with a boy,” she explained. “And also, Grammys are on a Sunday, and I didn’t want to tell him that I had school the next day, so I was like, ‘No, maybe next time.'” However, Jonas was persistent and wrote his number on a piece of paper and gave it to her mom, Yolanda Foster. Even though they officially became a couple only this year, the two have been friends since their meeting at the 2010 Grammy Awards. “And then we’ve been friends ever since,” Hadid concluded. “Except now. We’re more than friends, obvs,” she added. The celebrity couple is very supportive of each other, making them one of the most adored couples in Hollywood right now. They are also known to be quite candid about their relationship during interviews.

E!Online was able to catch up with Jonas at the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas over the weekend. The singer was there to promote his new band DNCE and When asked to describe his girlfriend in one word, Jonas’ answer? “Happiness.”
