The elder Bush was the 41st President of the United States. The publisher also released the cover image for the book, a close-up of President Bush.

The book will hit the shelves on November 11, just in time for the holiday season. The first run of printing will be 1 million copies.

The younger President Bush has been working on the book for the past several years. He also plans to narrate the audio version.

“A unique and intimate biography, 41: A PORTRAIT OF MY FATHER covers the entire scope of the elder President Bush’s life and career, including his service in the Pacific during World War II, his pioneering work in the Texas oil business, and his political rise as a Congressman, U.S. Representative to China and the United Nations, CIA Director, Vice President, and President,” Crown said in a statement. “In addition, George W. Bush discusses his father’s influence on him throughout his own life, from his childhood in West Texas to his early campaign trips with his father, and from his decision to go into politics to his own two-term Presidency.”

In a statement, George W. Bush called his father “a great servant, statesman, and father. I loved writing the story of his life, and I hope others enjoy reading it.”

The biography is special for many reasons. First off, unlike most recent presidents, Bush never published a memoir. A lot of the information readers will get from 41 will be completely fresh. Additionally, this is the only biography of a President written by a son. Of course, it makes it even more unique that the son was also a former President.
