The death of James Gandolfini on Wednesday in Italy hit home hard; as soon as news broke, it was dispatched around the web as social media sites blew up with everything from shocked reactions to disbelief.

Many fans were hoping it was just another celebrity death hoax; sadly, the “Sopranos” actor passed away after a massive heart attack while on vacation, it was confirmed. Immediately, friends and former co-stars took to the web to express their sadness and remember the man who made a womanizing, murderous mob boss a likable character.

James Gandolfini was a remarkable talent. He was also a decent man. We will all miss him.
