Last week, Sony announced that it had 1,000 licensed developers making games for the PS4. Now those developers are announcing indie projects left and right for Sony’s new console. The latest is an enhanced port of a previously announced PS Vita title.
MixedBag announced today on the PlayStation Blog that its bringing Futuridium EP Deluxe – a super colorful space shooter – to the PS4 this year. The team says they decided to bring the previously PS Vita exclusive game to the PS4 after gamers asked for a PS4 version following the initial reveal. The team says they got in touch with PlayStation Europe and made the PS4 version a reality.
So, what is Futuridium EP Deluxe? Here’s how the developers describe it:
For the readers not familiar with the game, Futuridium EP Deluxe is a fast, old-school shooter inspired mainly by the 8-bit classic Uridium, with an added hint of Zaxxon. Shake all that up in low-poly graphics, topped by a ton of fullscreen post processing effects, and served ice cold for your cube blasting pleasure. As a lone starship pilot lost in a dimensional loop with a depleting energy bar, you’ll encounter endless waves of giant space dreadnoughts. Your only hope? Destroy the blue energy cubes on them to refill your tank and expose the main power core, which must be destroyed to move on to the next ship.
