Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is one of those movies that is referenced so frequently, that you just can’t afford not to watch it.

One of the most memorable scenes from the movie is when Ferris and his best friend Cameron decide to take Cameron’s father’s Ferrari convertible for a joyride.

Cameron is reluctant at first and stresses to Ferris the amount of trouble he would be in if his father found out they had even touched the car.

He eventually goes along with the idea and the two drive the car around Chicago before it crashes through the glass walls of Cameron’s home.

While everyone loved the car, many people also appreciated the amazing home where it was kept. That home recently went up for sale and sold for $1.06 million.

The house went on the market a little over five years ago, but the owners had a hard time selling it because of the bad real estate market and the design of the house. While the house is unique. it is not everyone’s cup of tea and fewer people were interested than what the owners expected.

Eventually a couple fell in love with the house and decided to buy it. The names of the buyers were not available, but they managed to snag the home at a price half the original listing price of $2.3 million.

The beautiful two-building property was designed by A. James Speyer, a protege of architects Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, and David Haid.
