Facebook has updated its help center with information on how to create and “Offer,” and it seems to be as easy as making a status update. Facebook Offers, which were first introduced at the fMC conference in February, are online coupons that businesses can create to promote themselves on Facebook. The service was then rolled out only for Facebook’s managed advertising clients, but quickly made its way to a beta which businesses could opt-in to. Last month, API support was implemented for the service.

This week, Facebook updated its help pages, revealing exactly how creating an “Offer” will work. Business who have the functionality will see the option to create an “Offer” right beside the Status button above the update box on their timeline page. Clicking on the option reveals the “Offers” template, seen above. The person creating the “Offer” can enter text and a thumbnail photo, choose a maximum number of claims for the “Offer,” pick an expiration date, and add specific terms and conditions.

Facebook Offers couldn’t be easier for businesses. Facebook has really gone out of its way to make sure all businesses can take advantage of the new feature, regardless of their technical abilities. What do you think? Do you have plans to implement Facebook Offer coupons into your marketing strategy? Leave a comment below and let us know.
