Facebook just announced the launch of Insights for Credits, so developers can get a look at metrics related to transactions within their apps. You can view data on:
- user spend
- chargebacks
- refunds
“Insights for Credits uses the same data that is currently sent to you in the form of daily Credits activity reports,” says Facebook’s Alamgir Mand. “Spend, chargebacks, and refunds are shown as timeline graphs. You can also modify the time ranges and compare activity in different periods. All of this information can be exported as an Excel (XLS) or comma separated (CSV) file for portability and further analysis.”
“With this first version of Insights for Credits, we want to provide you with the tools to not only better understand your app, but also to monetize more efficiently,” says Mand.
Insights for Credits will be available today for apps that have implemented Credits. Only admins will be able to access it. Insights Users won’t be able to see the stats. Admins will find a Credits tab in App Insights.
On a semi-related note, Facebook has been experiencing some API issues today. Farmville has been feeling the effects.
On another semi-related note, one app developer was called out by Mark Zuckerberg himself for its practice of auto-posting a message on people’s walls that the user thinks the app is awesome.
Facebook also announced that the Ads API is out of beta.
