PlayStation 3 gamers have been left out when it comes to Skyrim downloadable content (DLC). Today’s new announcement from Ubisoft might provide some distraction from that fact, though a few co-op levels certainly can’t truly compare to being a vampire lord with an immaculately decorated house.
Meghan Watt, a writer at Ubisoft Massive today took to the PlayStation Blog to announce a new co-op DLC pack for Far Cry 3. The content, titled High Tides, will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive. The DLC will extend Far Cry 3‘s co-op campaign with two new co-op chapters that Watt calls “the best of the best.” From the blog post:
High Tides will take place where the original six co-op chapters left off. These are the gang’s final moments, and we’re really challenging ourselves to go all-out. We’ve got new missions, tougher fights, bigger competitions, some great up-close time with your favorite characters, and explosive moments unlike anything you’ve seen before. Can you tell we’re excited?
Far Cry 3‘s co-op campaign features a four-player experience separate from the main campaign. Players will take on the role of one of four unique personalities as they battle the pirates and warlords of a new island to explore. The console versions of Far Cry 3 will even feature a now-rare split-screen mode.
