It’s nice to know that even the Oval Office is taking part in this year’s NCAA college basketball tournaments with an office pool of their own. Our President, Barack Obama has taken the time to fill his brackets out and the word on Wednesday is that he’s going with Carolina again this year. It’s interesting to note that he picked the Tar Heels to win back in 2009. For the last two seasons, he’s gone with Kansas to win and they have unfortunately let him down both times. Obama has participated in this favorite national past time for the last four years.
Luckily, our fearless leader isn’t totally playing it safe. Obama has taken a few chances with his picks and has New Mexico and North Carolina State in his Sweet Sixteen. His Final Four selections include Ohio State, Missouri, North Carolina and Kentucky. I don’t know who advised the President on his pick to win the big dance this year, but I am sorry to say I don’t think he’ll be collecting any winnings from our country’s highest office pool. Hopefully, he’s in it for the fun and fraternity of it all because Kentucky is going to go all the way this year. Sorry, Mr. President.
