  • Eva Mendes has done a selfless thing.

The 41-year-old actress has never shared a selfie ever, but decided the time was right to help one young boy suffering from cancer.

Eva Mendes shared a sweet selfie to Instagram on Wednesday as a way to raise money for a toddler named Andrew Wilson Wratten who is battling cancer.

This is a cause that means a great deal to Eva Mendes, as her brother Carlos is in his own battle with the disease.

“This is my first selfie and it’s for an amazing cause!” Eva Mendes wrote, sporting a T-shirt with the words, “Hope and prayers for Andrew Wilson.”

“Thank you all so much for helping support Andrew Wilson and his family …” she continued. “Together let’s help this family get their son the proper treatment that he needs.”

Eva Mendes, who is mama to a nine-month-old daughter with Ryan Gosling, posted a second photo of 17-month-old Andrew to Instagram and to her Facebook page.

In her selfie, she is wearing a T-shirt that reads, “Hope and prayers for Andrew Wilson.” She is promising to give the shirt to one person who makes a donation by clicking here in the next 48 hours.

“This little guy, Andrew Wilson Wratten, is full of smiles, a ball of energy and VERY special to me,” she wrote next to a super cute photo of the little guy. “He has been undergoing treatment for neuroblastoma cancer. His family has spent the last year going through every parent’s worst nightmare as they watch their little boy endure grueling treatment and they need our help.”

Later in the day, Eva Mendes posted a video to Instagram thanking her followers for all the words of support.
