Poor Mark Sanchez. He’s outshined by his backup QB’s reputation on the field, and he doesn’t seem to have much luck in love, either.

After dating a string of celebrities–Hayden Panettierre, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, and Kate Upton–he seemed happy with “Desperate Housewives” alum Eva Longoria, but now they’ve apparently called it quits. According to their respective reps it had nothing to do with the relationship and everything to do with their busy schedules, and they will remain friends.

“Mark adores and respects Eva,” Sanchez’s rep said. “It really was about scheduling more than anything else. They will remain close friends.”

The couple just went public with their love in September–after months of speculation–so it’s surprising to see such an abrupt end. However, they have apparently been dating for several months, after she split from Eduardo Cruz. She divorced basketballer Tony Parker in 2010 after a cheating scandal.
