Etsy put out its December 2012 weather report today (a blog post listing various company stats), and revealed, among other things, that it saw 1,441,833 new members join the Etsy community during the month. That’s an increase of 314,922 (27.9%) from November, when it surpassed 20 million members.

We knew Etsy was having an amazing holiday season, but the site also saw 1.53 billion page views in December.

In December, Etsy launched its iPad app and its Android app, which likely played major roles in its impressive month.

Etsy saw $117.8 million worth of goods (after refunds and cancellations) sold by its members in December, up 11.6% from November’s $105.6 million. 6,001,420 items sold during the month, 9.3% more than November’s 5,489,407. Meanwhile, 2,363,780 items were listed during December, 21.2% less than November’s 2,997,877.

Last week, Etsy launched in Spanish.
