Etsy announced that it has launched an Android app, finally. This comes less than a week after the company launched its iPad app (the iPhone app has been out for quite some time).
“Beyond iPhone and iPad users, nearly a quarter of Etsy’s mobile web visitors come from Android devices all over the world,” Etsy’s Adam Brown tells WebProNews.
“With the holidays in full swing, the first Etsy for Android app features are geared toward shoppers,” he says. “Users can shop the entire Etsy marketplace (over 17 million items), browse other members’ favorite items and shops, and make purchases directly from a phone or tablet.”
Here’s what the Android app looks like:
Brown also tells us that from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, about 1 in 3 visits to Etsy came from mobile devices. That’s compared to 1 in 4 on a typical day.
The app is launching in English, French, Dutch, and German. The iPhone app has been downloaded over 3.5 million times.
The app can be found in the Google Play Store.
