Erin Andrews was filmed through a peephole by a stalker named Michael David Barrett while staying at a Marriott hotel in Tennessee in 2008.
Barrett was sentenced to 30 months in jail for filming the Dancing With the Stars co-host and Fox reporter nude. She believes Marriott International should be held accountable, too. Employees of the hotel both told Barrett she was staying there and provided him with her room number.
Michael David Barrett posted his nude footage of Erin Andrews online, which prompted an investigation by the FBI.

Erin Andrews filed this lawsuit back in 2011. It has been scheduled to go to trial in February of 2016. In light of the upcoming trial, defense lawyers sought a court order that directed Erin Andrews to divulge the amount of damages she is seeking.
Filing an amended complaint on Tuesday of this week, Erin Andrews stated she was seeking $75 million.
Lawyers for Andrews, as well as for the defendants, expect the February trial to last approximately 10 days.
The past year or so has no doubt been exhausting for Erin Andrews. In addition to preparing to sue Marriott International, she also learned that her boyfriend, New York Rangers hockey player Jarrett Stoll was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with possession of both cocaine and ecstasy. In September she admitted she wasn’t sure what–if anything–the future holds for the two.
“I have no idea what tomorrow will bring,” she said. “We’re brought up thinking our lives are going to be a Taylor Swift song. Then you get older and wiser. You don’t know what is going to bring you happiness.”

It certainly sounds like Erin Andrews has a strong case against Marriott International. Almost anyone knows hotel employees can’t divulge such information about their guests–especially when those guests are celebrities.
If things don’t work out for Erin Andrews and Jarrett Stoll, $75 million might help to ease her pain.
