Erin Andrews is replacing Brooke Burke-Charvet as Tom Bergeron’s cohost on Dancing With the Stars. Burke-Charvet was fired from the show just days ago in what she referred to as a “shocking elimination.” ABC certainly didn’t waste any time finding a replacement, with Andrews said to be signing on the dotted line any time now.
Just like Brooke Burke-Charvet, Erin Andrews was once a competitor on Dancing With the Stars, having competed during season 10 with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Unlike Burke-Charvet, however, Andrews didn’t win the season during which she competed.
Burke-Charvet had no idea her job was on the line, and only received her rather shocking walking papers on Friday. It wasn’t even 72 hours later when word emerged about Erin Andrews replacing her.
“I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture,” Burke-Charvet said in a statement following her axing on Friday. “I’ve always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn’t able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake.”
She thanked her fans for their support throughout the years via Twitter.
Thanks for all the love & support. I loved my time in the ballroom & I'll love my next chapter too. Change is positive. Love you guys!

It seems Brooke’s sense of humor is still intact despite this rather shocking turn of events.
Here's the skinny – The show found out Harold Wheeler, the band, Rob & me were putting together our own road show, so they fired us all!

Erin Andrews has worked for Fox Sports for quite some time and hosts their college football programs. What do you think about this sudden change of co-hosts at Dancing With the Stars? It might be interesting to learn Tom Bergeron’s take on the shake up.
