E3 2013: Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Gameplay Revealed

Even though Activision and Infinity Ward are touting the new graphics technology implemented for Call of Duty: Ghosts, it’s clear that EA and DICE have won the graphics race this year. When it comes to gameplay, however, the two biggest console shooter franchises are innovating in different directions.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will have minor additions such as leaning around corners and sliding. Oh, and dog soldiers.

Battlefield 4, on the other hand, is implementing more interactive elements into gameplay. “Levolution” as EA’s press releases are calling it, will enable players to change map dynamics by, for instance, cutting power to certain lights or destroying entire buildings.

The “Siege of Shanghai” trailer shows a massive building destruction sequence, while the “Best Moments” trailer shows gameplay similar to what Call of Duty players are used to:
