Rumer Willis opened up about how hard it was being the daughter of one of the most beautiful women in the world.
The Dancing with the Stars contestant has been getting positive reviews on the dance floor and gave another inspired performance last April 6. But it was her sincere and open video segment that really tugged at the audience’s heartstrings.
The 26-year-old daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis talked about being bullied as a teenager and how she even thought that plastic surgery was the answer to her woes.

“When I was a teenager I was super awkward,” she admitted. “I don’t think I really felt comfortable in my body or with how I looked and people were nasty.”
The fact that her mother is Demi Moore didn’t help either.
“My mom, who is one of the most stunning women I’ve ever met and who everyone was comparing me to, saying that you look more like your very masculine father than your beautiful mom,” Rumer reflected.
The young actress said that she even considered getting plastic surgery to look more “womanly” as a means to end the bullying.
But it was her family that saved her in the end, particularly her younger sister Tallulah. Rumer said that even though her sister was in rehab her mindset was – “Here are my flaws and it’s OK. I’m still me and I’m still beautiful and it doesn’t matter.”
Rumer was inspired to take a page from her sister’s book and realized that “I could feel the same way and I need to stop listening to the bullies.”

The emotional video brought people to tears, including Rumer’s mother Demi and sister Tallulah who were in the audience, along with close family friend Glen Close.
Rumer then ended the night on a high note by dancing the waltz flawlessly and garnering a high score of 35 out of 40.
Her dance partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy also got emotional during Rumer’s confession and had high praises for the young actress.
“She’s awesome; she’s a great friend. Just on so many other levels besides the dance floor, I think she’s such an incredible person,” he said. “I’m glad that America gets to see that.”
