In a trailer released today, EA gaves us our first look at Dragon Age: Inquisition. The new title, powered by DICE’s Frostbite 3 engine, looks far grittier and darker than even the already gritty Dragon Age: Origins. Morrigan narrates the events unfolding before us and says that the central character (i.e. you) will decide the fate of the realm.

BioWare notes that all the footage in the trailer is running on the in-game engine. Needless to say, it looks fantastic. The large, sweeping vistas look especially nice, and I’m sure the large scale battles will be a sight to behold.

Dragon Age: Origins will be out in fall 2014 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
