Dolly Parton plans to return to Nashville with a July 31st show at Ryman Auditorium. The show will benefit the Opry Trust Fund. When tickets went on sale for the show, they sold out in record time. In fact, they were among the fastest tickets to sell out in the venue’s lengthy history.
This prompted Dolly Parton to add a second performance to her Nashville return. She will now perform at the Ryman Auditorium on both July 31st and August 1st.
Dolly Parton talked about the July 31st benefit in a press release recently.
“It’s important to me to be able to do a concert for the Opry Trust Fund as so many of my old Opry friends have benefited from it through the years. The money raised will go to help fund the medical needs and hospitalization for those who are not able to afford it and need the help. I am proud to be of help in any way,” she said.
The upcoming Nashville performances will be called ‘Dolly Parton: Pure and Simple,’ and both the July 31st and August 1st shows mark Dolly Parton’s first shows in Nashville in 12 years.
Tickets for Dolly Parton’s August 1st show in Nashville are set to go on sale on Thursday morning, July 2nd.
Surely no one who loves Dolly Parton and her music is surprised in the least that her return to Nashville is marked by at least one–and likely soon to be two–sold out shows.
