It looks like Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina Lohan will have to bum a lot of rides this year.
On Tuesday, Dina was sentenced at the Nassau County District Court for her September 2013 DUI.
According to the terms of the sentence, Dina has to pay a $2,500 fine, complete 100 hours of community service, and will have her driver’s license suspended for one year. When she is able to drive again, Lohan must also install an alcohol interlock device in her car.
In April, Lohan pleaded guilty to driving her white BMW 22 miles over the speed limit (77 mph in a 55 mph zone) while drunk along the Northern State Parkway. At the time of her arrest, Lohan’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at .2.
“In spite of the fact that the District Court of Nassau County dispenses the sternest DWI Sentences in America, which traditionally provides for a period of incarceration and three years of Probation, Dina Lohan’s Sentence did not provide for any period of incarceration or Probation, in light of Dina Lohan’s exemplary record with no prior arrest history and in deference to the Nassau County Screening Evaluation of Ms. Lohan which concluded that she has no alcohol or substance abuse issues,” a statement from Lohan’s lawyer Mark Jay Heller read.
“Clearly, it was recognized that Dina Lohan has been a life-long resident of Nassau County, a good and loving Parent to four children and the arrest was borne out of an isolated act of indiscretion on the occasion of her 50th Birthday,” the statement continued. “Dina Lohan is happy to put this unfortunate event behind her.”
