Diane Sawyer has reportedly landed an official interview with Bruce Jenner, and it’s said to be one during which he will spill the beans about transitioning from a man to a woman. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians patriarch has stayed mum on rumors about his sexual identity, but photos seen in the press over the past year or so have caused most to wonder.
Fans of Bruce Jenner, Kris Jenner, and the entire Kardashian empire will have a while yet to wait, however. Diane Sawyer may be interviewing Bruce Jenner in the near future, but it won’t be aired on TV until May. An ABC source confirmed all of this to Page Six on Monday.
Us Weekly reported a little over a week ago that Bruce Jenner would grant one TV interview, but it was uncertain at that point to whom he would grant it. Sources say NBC executives are upset over his decision to go with Diane Sawyer over at ABC–especially because NBCUniversal owns E!, the network that airs Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and the one that will reportedly air Bruce Jenner’s upcoming docu-series on his transition from male to female.

Up until very recently, Bruce Jenner’s family has denied that anything unusual was going on with their father, stepfather, and ex-husband. Even Kris Jenner has come to his defense. A little over a week ago, however, Kim Kardashian made a comment during an interview with Entertainment Tonight that led many to believe there was definitely more to the story.
“I think everyone goes through things in life and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he’ll share whenever the time is right,” Kim Kardashian said. “I feel like that’s his journey to talk about.”
And it is.
