Demi Lovato has a twin sister and her name is Poot Lovato.

Recently, Poot has been making headlines as she charmed her way to social media with her cuteness. For those who are not in the know, Poot is a meme borne out of a not-so-flattering photo of Lovato.

A Tumblr user posted her photo and wrote in the caption that it was not the famous pop singer but her twin sister who has been locked in a basement. The Tumblr user with the handle name “cstcrpt” added that the picture was taken the first time Poot went outside.

“Demi’s twin sister. She was locked in a basement her whole life. This picture was taken the first time she went outside. Her name is Poot,” the caption read.

One creative fan even put up a Wikipedia page dedicated to Poot Lovato while someone put her in a Finding Nemo Poster then captioned it with the hashtag #Freepoot.

One Twitter user suggested Poot join show business and launch an album called “Poot for the Summer,” while another user thought she could be a  great world leader named Vladimir Pootin.

Poot now has her own unofficial Twitter account and a fan fiction entitled The Secret Life of Poot Lovato. The meme was such a huge hit around social media that people reposted it numerous times unitl Demi herself saw it. The “Cool for the Summer” singer responded to the circulating meme and it looks like she is not onboard. In a series of tweets (which were deleted afterward) Lovato expressed her feelings about the twin Poot meme.

“Cool to see a shitty angle turn into a meme that circulates the Internet to people’s amusement ha,” Lovato wrote on her Twitter and added “make actual headlines.”

With all of these silly memes, it is not surprising that Lovato was not amused at all.
