DeAnna Pappas Stagliano: Bachelorette Alum Has Baby

DeAnna Pappas Stagliano announced her pregnancy just a few short months ago as seen in the video clip above. This past Thursday the Bachelorette alum and her husband Stephen Stagliano welcomed their baby girl into the world.

DeAnna is technically an alum from both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. She appeared on season 11 of the first and season 4 of the latter. Rejected by Brad Womack on The Bachelor, she was tapped by ABC to appear on a subsequent season of The Bachelorette. It was actually Ellen DeGeneres who was helping her lick her Womack wounds while a guest on her show who told her she was wanted by the network for The Bachelorette. While on that show in 2008 she rejected single dad Jason Mesnick in favor of snowboarder Jesse Csincsak, whose marriage proposal she accepted. Their relationship didn’t last long. Their engagement was called off within months.

It was in 2010 that Pappas said yes to Stephen Stagliano’s marriage proposal–far away from any TV cameras or matchmaking. Stephen’s brother, Michael Stagliano, was a contestant on season 5 of The Bachelorette, however. It seems she and her now hubby were keeping it (a taste of reality TV) all in the family.

Both Stephen and DeAnna Stagliano took to social media almost immediately after their baby girl was born last week.

The Bachelorette alum shared the following tweet.

Stephen joined the Twitter craze as well.

No word has escaped yet as to what DeAnna Pappas Stagliano and her hubby have named their little bundle of joy. Hopefully they eschew some of today’s trends and stick to a classic name their child won’t be embarrassed to use as she grows from childhood into adulthood.

Congratulations to them both on their new little blessing.
