Way back on March 20th it was announced that there was going to be a contest to see who could design the best t-shirt inspired by the upcoming summer blockbuster “The Dark Knight Rises”. The kicker? Christopher Nolan, the director of “The Dark Knight Rises,” was going to be one of the judges. All of the finalists were put up to a vote and then sent to Nolan and his team to decide what was the best one. Here are the finalists:

The winner?

That right folks, Hello Mr. Wayne by SPYKEEE was selected as the winner. The guys at Design By Humans Interviewed him about winning this contest.

They asked him about his design and the inspiration for it: “The feel that I was after for this was something to represent the Batman trilogy movies. The movies that Christopher Nolan made were very dark and gritty, so I wanted to apply that feel to the illustration. Growing up I was a real big fan of the comics and I really liked it when they portrayed batman to be a more dark and intense character.:

Also they wanted to know what he was going to do with his winnings: “Part of it will go into the bank, and a part of it will be spent on art stuff or things that I need to polish my drawing skills like a new laptop, books and a better graphic tablet. The other part will be for expenses and some of it will be for fun. A vacation also sounds nice.”

The guy seems pretty humble about winning, but we all know inside all he is saying over and over is BOOYAH SUCKA!

All of the work is available to purchase from DBH, and congrats to all!
