The world knows her as Topanga Lawrence, but she didn’t marry Cory Matthews! However, the widely known “Boy Meets World” actress Danielle Fishel did officially say “I Do” to her fiance’ Tim Belusko on Saturday, Oct. 19. The candle-lit ceremony took place on the staircase of the upscale wedding venue, Vibiana, in Los Angeles.
The 130 year-old luxurious venue hosted more than 200 guests that attended the wedding. Fishel’s “Girl Meets World” co-star, Ben Savage, was among the large number of guest. However, their “Boy Meets World” co-star, Rider Strong, wasn’t in attendance, because ironically he also got married on Saturday.

Fishel took to Twitter to share her excitement of marital bliss with the world. She also posted a picture on Instagram the day after her wedding. The caption reads, “First morning as husband and wife. Outside Vibiana where we said “I Do.” #love”

While the actress was indeed glowing with joy and happiness, it didn’t take long for the judgmental critics to get under her skin. In wake of her marital headlines, critics felt the need to criticize the 7-year age difference between Fishel and Belusko. Just hours after posting the picture on Instagram, Fishel fired back via Twitter expressing her disdain toward those who felt compelled to question her marital decision. She definitely wasn’t happy and had no qualms about speaking her mind and defending her new husband.

To some fans it may look as though Fishel is “cheating” on the one man they always envisioned she’d marry. But, all isn’t lost just yet, since the two have reunited once again to continue their television love affair. Fishel will soon be back on television starring in the “Boy Meets World” spin-off, “Girl Meets World.” Of course, Fishel will play the role of none other than Topanga Lawrence-Matthews – wife of the one and only Cory Matthews. Fishel also posted promo picture for the upcoming show.
The caption reads, “Love this man. @BenSavage, thank you for making me so happy and being my amazing “husband” all these years.”
Fishel and Savage have also tweeted about the upcoming show.

The show will pick up years later, delving into the lives of the Matthews’ couple, who are now the parents of a teenage daughter, Riley Matthews, portrayed by “Spy Kids” actress, Rowan Blanchard. The show is scheduled to debut on the Disney channel some time next year.
