Crystal Renay, Ne-Yo’s wife, recently welcomed their first child together. Prince Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr. was born on Tuesday, March 15.

A few days before she gave birth, Crystal Renay uploaded a picture of the R&B singer kissing her baby bump. In the caption, she thanked all her supporters, family and friends for their love. “I couldn’t have made it through without you,” she wrote.
Ne-Yo also shared a black and white photo of himself cradling his first child with Renay and wrote “Senior and Junior” on the image. The happy father has two kids with his ex Monyetta Shaw: Madilyn Grace, 5, and Mason Evan, 4.
The pair met when Ne-Yo contacted Crystal Renay about teaming up for a short film for his album. The R&B singer announced in August last year they were expecting a baby and they were engaged. The couple tied the knot on February 20 in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles. After the wedding, Ne-Yo told People, “We can’t wait to start our life together. We’re looking forward to just being each other’s best friend.”
