After visiting her fiancé’s family in Northern Ireland in July, Courteney Cox is planning to have her wedding later this year in an Irish castle. Cox, 50, and Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, 38, will be holding their nuptials at Ashford Castle in Lough Corrib, Galway, a decision they made after she fell in love with the building during her visit.
McDaid plays piano, guitar and sings backing vocals for his rock band Snow Patrol. A source told the UK’s The Sun, “Johnny took Courteney to Ireland to meet his family and they fell in love with AshfordCastle.” They also reportedly visited several other venues in Ireland before settling on the Irish castle.

Meanwhile, the couple also plans to celebrate in the United States with friends, family and celebrities by holding a big bash on Malibu Beach, Los Angeles, after the Irish ceremonies.
The Friends and Cougar Town star was introduced to McDaid by English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, who also first hinted at the direction in which the relationship was headed when he let slip that they had moved in together.

Previously, Cox was married to actor David Arquette, with whom she has a 10-year-old daughter named Coco. They married in June 1999, staying together for 11 years until announcing that they were undergoing a trial separation in October 2010. However, in 2012, Cox filed for divorce from Arquette. The divorce was finalized in May 2013, but the couple remain good friends while sharing custody of Coco.
