Claire Danes, who endeared herself to a particular generation as flame-haired Angela Chase on “My So-Called Life” and now stars on the highly popular show “Homeland”, has given birth to her baby boy.

This is the first child for Danes and husband Hugh Dancy, and he was conceived during filming of the show, so producers had to hide Danes’ belly for several months of shooting. Though the new mom says she’d like to do another movie soon, she’s happy with where she is. Luckily for her, “Homeland” has just been renewed for a third season.

The actress has been the topic of much discussion in pop culture lately, as her “Homeland” character is notoriously emotional and Danes’ “cry face” is, well, notorious. As soon as Twitter heard about the new baby, the jokes began.
