Chrissy Teigen is inadvertently to blame for a woman who tripped at fell at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night–in a very obscure sort of way. Chrissy Teigen and Ludacris served as co-hosts of the evening’s events in Las Vegas.

It was while she was en route to the stage that a female audience member tripped on Teigen’s train. It wasn’t even a very long one, so it’s a bit hard to imagine how this happened.

Us Weekly reports that, “Chrissy Teigen was walking up to the stage at MGM Grand’s Garden Arena on Sunday night when she crossed paths with another woman. Trying to avoid a collision, the unidentified attendee rushed to get out of Teigen’s way, only to trip over the train of the supermodel’s Johanna Johnson red gown and fall to the floor.”

On Monday, John Legend’s wife took to Twitter to defend herself–claiming she didn’t even realize what was taking place at the time.

She also shared that she was trying hard herself not to fall down.

At least Chrissy Teigen’s sense of humor remained intact.

Did you catch the unnamed woman tripping and falling as the result of a close encounter with Chrissy Teigen’s dress at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday?
