Chloe Gosselin, a French model and designer, recently got engaged to illusionist David Copperfield after a lengthy relationship.

Gosselin, 28, is the mother of Copperfield’s 3-year old daughter, Sky. The couple first met six years ago and have actually been engaged for a while now but chose to keep it on the DL.

“I’m so lucky to have found David,” Gosselin said. “There are very few people in the world like him. He’s spent more than 30 years at the top of his profession. He’s achieved some extraordinary things. People come up to him, tell him they admire him, that he’s a role model for them – and he just smiles, because he’s truly modest. It’s as if he doesn’t realise how smart he is, the talent that he has.”

Copperfield commented on his former flames recently after being asked about his famous penchant for seeing much younger models–including Claudia Schiffer, whom he dated for six years during the height of her supermodel fame.

“Oh, that was a long time ago. Now I’m engaged and in a committed relationship with Chloe in my mind and my heart,” he said.

Copperfield owns eleven private islands in an area called Copperfield Bay in the Caribbean, where the couple lives.
