Borderlands 2 is getting some quality content later this year, but its latest DLC – Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep – is nothing to scoff at. In fact, the story of the vault hunters playing a game of Bunkers and Badasses with Tiny Tina as the DM seems to have really resonated with gamers. So much so that Gearbox made a short film based on it.
2K and Gearbox released a short film today called +5 To Punching. It serves as a prologue to Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. As expected, it’s pretty funny. Check it out:
This isn’t the first time that Gearbox has made a short film based on its Borderlands franchise, but it’s now starting to look like a trend. Does that mean that we might get a full-length Borderlands film sometime in the future? It’s not likely, but never say never. After all, Hollywood has started to mine video games once again looking for a potential hit. The Borderlands franchise presents a world that could easily work in film as these shorts so expertly testify.
If you liked the what you saw above, you’ll get more of it in Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. It’s available now on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, and will be included in the Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition launching on October 8.
