Charlize Theron has a very decided man in her life.
Sean Penn wanted to set the record straight when a reporter called Charlize Theron his “girlfriend.”
A reporter for France’s Le Parisien asked Sean Penn about his “girlfriend” Charlize Theron, when Penn stopped the interview right then and there.
“No, no, excuse me, Charlize is not my girlfriend,” Penn, 54, interjected. “She’s the love of my life.”
Wow.

The couple were attending César Awards, France’s version of the Oscars, when the interview took place.
Penn attended with Charlize Theron, 39, to accept an honorary award, for which he received a standing ovation.
“We have a very strong relationship,” Penn told Le Parisien, adding that the two Oscar winners “have known each other for a very long time. But we weren’t together.”
Once the two found themselves single, they struck up and romance and have been dating for more than a year.

Over the summer the two were in South Africa, when Penn directed Charlize Theron in the upcoming drama The Last Face.
“I enjoyed it very much and we’re working on the editing now,” Theron told reporters on the Césars red carpet, “It will be ready soon.”
Sean Penn was previously married to Madonna and Robin Wright, and Charlize Theron split from boyfriend Stuart Townshend in 2009.
Penn’s latest film, The Gunman opens on March 20.
