The real reason behind her suicide has not yet been determined, but one thing’s for certain: She could no longer handle it.

Reportedly, Cathriona White took her own life after breaking up with actor, Jim Carrey.

White posted a final tweet that said, “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest. [Love] to you all.” Moments later, she was found dead in her home on September 28.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told Us Weekly that there were pills seen next to her body, but they did not disclose what kind they were. Additionally, an alleged suicide note was also found with Carrey’s name on it.

It is still not clear whether the note that White wrote was addressed to Carrey.

Cathriona White was involved with the Church of Scientology after moving to America from Ireland and had been taking classes at their Hollywood Celebrity Centre at the time of her death.

White was said to have been struggling in Hollywood and that she had been taking acting classes and working as a make-up artist on some TV shows. She also had an on- and-off relationship with Carrey.

“Cathriona’s friends say that they were concerned about Cat dating Carrey,” said Ortega, a Scientology expert and friend of White’s.

Carrey had been making fun of Scientology for years but was aware that White was involved with the controversial church since they started dating in 2012.

“Apparently he was aware of it, but it seems they had an on again, off again relationship,” Ortega said.

When White and Carrey got back together this year, friends of White raised their concerns with the religious group.

But they were assured by Scientologists that they knew that Cathriona was emotionally prepared for the challenge of dating Carrey because, they said, “She had just finished the Purif and was doing her objectives.”

“That basically means they think she can handle anything, that’s the way Scientologists think,” Ortega said.

However, Cathriona White shocked them all with her suicide. White’s family has expressed that they wish to keep everything private.
