It’s no secret that Carrie-Anne Moss was cast in the upcoming Netflix Marvel’s Jessica Jones series. The secret has been the role she will play.
It was Saturday–at New York Comic-Con that Carrie-Anne Moss’s role was revealed.
The actress will play Jeryn Hogarth. Comic fans know Hogarth as a male character tied to both Luke Cage and Danny Rand (known as Iron Fist), however. While casting someone in a gender reversal is unusual, it appears it may just fit in with Netflix’s plans.

It is expected that Netflix will soon connect Jessica Jones with some spinoffs. As it stands, Luke Cage and Iron Fist are set to get their own series.
Luke Cage will likely premiere on Netflix next year, after his character is introduced in Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Iron Fist will likely follow shortly thereafter.
What’s your take on Carrie-Anne Moss playing a character who was first introduced as male?
