Carole Middleton is said to be a ‘happy granny.’. And well she should be. Not many grannies can boast not just one, but two royal babies as their grandchildren. Carole Middleton even beat Prince Charles at meeting the new royal baby, who was born on Saturday to Kate Middleton and Prince William. The new baby, of course, joins big brother, Prince George.
It was Saturday afternoon when Carole Middleton was spotted driving through Bucklebury, where she and her family live. She opted to forgo the crazy crowds in London, celebrating the birth of the royal baby outside of the hospital where she was born. Instead, Carole joined daughter Pippa Middleton, traveling to visit Kate, Will, and the new little princess on Sunday instead.
“She looked absolutely radiant. I have never seen her looking so happy,” a source tells People magazine of Carole Middleton as she drove through Bucklebury Saturday. “She was on her own and looked absolutely wonderful. As happy as a bean. She is one very happy granny.”

Both Carole Middleton and daughter Pippa were spotted inside a black Range Rover, driving into Kensington Palace on Sunday. Prince Charles and wife Camilla, visited a short time later, followed by Carole Middleton’s husband, Michael Middleton. At one point the new royal baby had all four grandparents in the room at the same time.

How do you suppose Kate Middleton is taking to all of these visits? After all, she’s the one who just gave birth to the royal baby? Even though she appeared radiant when first stepping outside of the London hospital where the princess was born, she has to be exhausted.
Queen Elizabeth has yet to meet the new princess. Sources say she may visit later on Sunday.
