The launch of the first DLC expansion for Call of Duty: Ghosts is less than a week away and Activision is now revealing just how it has spent the marketing budget for the game.
Today’s latest trailer delves into the new Extinction mode content coming in the Ghosts “Onslaught” DLC next week. The content will be the first in a planned four-episode story arc meant to reveal the origins of the alien menace that players fight in the new mode.
Players will fight larger creatures than ever at a mysterious “Nightfall Program” research station in the snowy middle of nowhere (Alaska). Waves of alien enemies will have to be mowed down by players, including one that Activision claims is three stories tall. Two new characters will be introduced as part of the content and a new weapon will help players blast their way through the hordes.
Presumably, all of these new features can be discovered by players at their leisure during their next “CODnapping” session.
