Yesterday, Activision and Infinity Ward finally gave fans of the Call of Duty franchise what they’ve been waiting for – a look at the multiplayer action in the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts. Aside from the inclusion of female soldiers and a few new details, the gameplay looks similar to previous Call of Duty games, which is what fans of the series are looking for.
With the big reveal out of the way, Activision used its Xbox-sponsored announcement to reveal the collector editions it will be offering for Ghosts. Two collector packs will be offered: Hardened Edition and Prestige Edition.
Hardened Edition is the lower-price collection, retailing for $120. It comes with a steelbook case, a (digital) soundtrack, “military-style” parachord strap, a bonus multiplayer map, some in-game insignia extras, and a DLC season pass for Ghosts.
The Prestige Edtion comes with everything in the Hardened Edition, plus one more item – an item expensive enough to kick the price up to a whopping $200. An HD “tactical” camera will come with every Prestige Edition copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts. The camera comes with a memory card, a rechargeable battery, and a few attachments for mounting it in different places, such as a helmet.
A new trailer for the Prestige Edition demonstrates what developers had in mind when including the camera in the pack – two doofuses running around kicking in doors:
