“Bruce Jenner — The Interview” is set to air on Friday, April 24. It is a special edition of 20/20 and will be conducted by Diane Sawyer.

TMZ now claims that their sources tell them that Bruce Jenner views the upcoming show as “a farewell to Bruce.” Their sources say that he “will ‘present himself’ as a woman publicly for the first time.”

On the other hand, other sources also say the opposite. They insist that Bruce Jenner will not “reveal his new name, or dress like a woman on camera.”

Still, their sources say that Bruce Jenner thinks his sit-down with Diane Sawyer is “the most significant event associated with his sex change — more significant than the surgical procedures that will get him there.”

Bruce Jenner has told his mother what the rest of us will be waiting to hear him tell Diane Sawyer. Esther Jenner used to deny that there was any “sex change” activity going on with her son. Back during the divorce from Kris Jenner, she said:

“There’s such raunchy publicity all the time. I don’t know. I’ve brought this up to him on the phone when we’ve talked and he says, ‘Mum ,you can’t believe this stuff,” he said, ‘You can’t pay any attention to this stuff,’ and I said, ‘Well I want to tell you one thing Bruce, I don’t care if what they’re putting out is true or false, it’s not going to change my love for you,’ and it’s true that’s exactly how I feel, but I don’t like it.”

But now she seems to have learned something else. She says that Bruce Jenner sat her down for a talk.

“He said, ‘I want to be honest about my identity and I know this is coming out in the press,’ ” his mother says. “He started by saying, ‘We need to have a long, serious talk.’ ”

Whether Bruce Jenner walks out at the end of his interview with Diane Sawyer with a makeover or not is yet to be seen. But this is the first time he is going on record about it all.
