Brooke Shields has been known for her age-defying good looks since she was a teen model and actress, and while she hasn’t done much in the way of horror onscreen, she does know how to give a real scream-queen expression with no fear of looking silly.
Shields recently posted a photo of herself on Instagram showing her in the dentist’s chair with a plastic guard holding her mouth open and a look of terror in her eyes, and captioned it “My new head shot”.
The actress may be about to turn 50 years old, but she’s still got her silly sense of humor. She said recently on the Today show that she’s excited about the birthday but that she’s always felt older than she actually is.
“It’s taken me so long to sort of merit how old I feel anyway, ’cause I’ve been around a long time! It’s like I’ve always been older than my years. I do think getting to that age, or that number, that type of milestone, I think you just start to say, ‘This is it, this is who I am.’ I’m surrounded by good people, I love my life—I want more, always, creatively,” Brooke Shields said.
Shields made headlines late last year with her memoir, There Was A Little Girl, in which she detailed her relationship with Liam Neeson. Brooke Shields said that the actor proposed to her in 1992, but then left to travel across the country on business and didn’t return. Later, he proposed again, but she turned him down. He went on to marry Natasha Richardson in 1994.
“He came back after the first time he left me and asked me to marry him again. This was before he started to do a play (Anna Christie). And I said, ‘No, no, no, because knowing you, you’ll probably fall in love with your next leading lady and marry her, so I’m leaving myself out of this.’ And I was dead right,” Brooke Shields told People.
