Britney Spears spent some rather frightening time up a tree in recent weeks. It was during a performance of her “Britney: Piece Of Me” show at Planet Hollywood Casino Resort in Las Vegas that the “Toxic” singer found herself in an uncomfortable predicament.

The strange event took place about a month ago, but Billboard first reported it a couple of days ago. While singing “Toxic,” Britney Spears’s harness became entangled in a fake tree used as a prop on stage.

TMZ reports Britney Spears was supposed to soar over her audience when she got hung up in the tree instead.

Fortunately for Britney, a member of her production team unhooked her harness from said tree. She then climbed down a nearby staircase.

This isn’t the first time Britney Spears experienced a mishap during her “Piece of Me” residency. A wardrobe mishap in October caused the back of her sheer costume to open up. Her backup dancers alerted her to the problem, but Spears never broke from her choreography–continuing her performance as though nothing was wrong.

It takes a very confident performer to laugh off the mishaps that can happen on a stage set for excitement.

Kudos to Britney Spears for keeping calm while stuck in a tree–even if the tree was fake and she was in it for only a little while.
